Mini breaks seem to equal to a makeup buying spree for me, even when I went to Brighton at the weekend where I stayed at ‘My Brighton Hotel’ which made me feel like I was in an Austin Powers’ movie, I got some makeup…
Debenhams had a Kat Von D and a Too Faced section, which are two brands I normally have to travel to check out or I find I have to order online and hope for the best. To save money and well because I rarely hit pan on anything, I’ve been buying a lot of minis lately. And Kat Von D had a huge selection of minis, I was pretty restrained for me but still picked up a few products and received a free gift bag filled with more minis. Got to love a freebie!
I wanted an eyeliner and remembered the whole scandal with the full sized eyeliner having the same amount of product as the mini, I popped it down and reached for a mini and then found I could get a mini and two mini perfumes for £18. At the time of writing this I think they have discontinued this at Debenhams but you can get it off Kat’s official site on sale too!
Is the white bottle, no surprise there! And smells lighter and fresher of the two fragrances, with hints of caramel, creamy musk and sandalwood. The fresh sweet smell is perfect for the warmer weather.
This fragrance is a more mature, heavy version of Saint. You can definitely tell these fragrances are lets call them sisters; but has cinnamon notes which give it a dark spicy scent.
The packaging fits the brand so well, and the glass little bottles are a nice size for keeping in a makeup bag or handbag. But I find these fragrances don’t last long compared to my favourite from Marc Jacobs. Even when applying it to clothes rather than the skin it does fade within an hour or so, which is a little disappointing. But when you consider a full size of either of these retails for £37 which is less than half the price of what my favourite Eau de Fresh is I’m not mad.
These smell great, and getting minis means you can see if you’re more of a Saint or a Sinner!
