Collection’s Glam Crystals

Collection is one of those brands where you can buy something for super cheap and if you use it once it’s no biggy. A few weeks ago I went to the Isle of Wight Festival (where I learnt why glitter roots aren’t worth it!) and tried some glittery makeup from Collection. Everything I got was £4 or less, and on a 3 for 2 deal (so mega cheap!).

Collection's Glam Crystals- MAHALA

The Gel Liners (£2.99) are something I used to use ten years ago when I was 14 at roller discos, yeah I was that cool… For festival purposes I think they’re okay, no way on the same level as Stila Magnificant Metals which are my all time favourite eye product for added glam (but are way pricey!). The Collection wands were pretty all over the place so precise application was out of the question, but for all over the lid or a chunky liner it was okay. For festivals where you want to try something new or in my case if you’re scared products will get nicked or lost (which coincidently has happened to the blue liner!), they do the trick.

The Holographic Lip Toppers (£3.99) are pretty, but not holographic! I wish companies would stop using this buzzword when it’s just iridescent or in this case just mega glittery. The toppers have a sweet scent which is pleasant and they apply nicely. I used them without lipstick as a gloss and liked them a lot as they’re comfortable and not too wild, although I felt the pink one was more me. I really prefer the lip topper over the liners and have used them as a gloss since.

I don’t think these products are outstanding, but if you want to try something a bit sparkly and don’t want to splash the cash it’s worth a go!
