Unicorn Brush Shampoo! ☆

Monday me always hates Sunday me, as I skip out on cleaning my brushes… Meaning early Monday rummaging for a hidden brush or resorting to using a dirty one. In comes in Spectrum Collections’ majestic Vegan Brush Shampoo (£14.99), which I got purely because it was a pink unicorn horn. (Once again I have succumbed to adorable packaging!)

I’m a mega fan of Spectrum Collections and a repeat buyer: the amazing quality and pretty designs keep me coming back. I also like putting my money towards a UK brand made up of Girl Boss sisters who have built this brand up.

Back to the shampoo… When I use this I splodge a bit of the pink shampoo on the side of the sink, wet my brushes and dab each one into the shampoo, lather and rinse. This method works really well and even stubborn makeup like liquid foundation comes out. Using it with my silicon brush pad, I picked up from Primark for £2 makes the process incredibly quick, what normally takes me 45 minutes with my go-to method of shower gel and 30 mins with my StylPro Brush Cleaner took 15 mins tops! I even used considerably less product than when I use shower gel or my StylPro Brush Solution.

The thing I love the most about this product is that every-time I use it, it brings me back to my childhood in America. The sweet strawberry smell is almost identical to a Tinkerbell chapstick I used religiously at my Little Mermaid vanity table back in the nineties. Cleaning my brushes with this shampoo brushes brings me back there every-time!

How do you clean your brushes? Are you Spectrum Collections fan too?- Be sure to comment to let me know! ♥︎
