I love face masks! They’re a great way to get some instant results to your skin, from hydration to cleansing or even extraction of annoying impurities they can give your skin the TLC it needs. When I want my best skin for going out and getting a great base ready for makeup, I cleanse my skin and sit in front of the TV, binge on some Netflix and pop on some face masks.
3 in 1 Pore Strips
Pore strips are disgustingly satisfying. This cute strawberry 3-step blackhead remover from The Crème Shop is no exception, in fact the 3 strips cause the nose to be cleaner than ever after use.
Step 1- Opens up pores to prep for blackhead removal
Step 2- Removes dead skin and deep blackheads
Step 3- Nourishes and reduces sizes of pores
This process does take like 40+ minutes so if you’re not willing to put in the time to do it properly I say give it a pass. That being said the wait is definitely worth it, it removed A LOT to the extent I’m ashamed my skin was that dirty! The best bit of the kit in my opinion is the last strip as it closes up your opened pores, so they don’t sag or get dirty quicker. I also HATE the site of pores, it makes my skin crawl… as you can tell I’m a fan of this product!
For longer than I cared to say, I used to think that moisturising the face just made it greasy and would make the makeup come off ASAP, why did no one ever tell me that moisturised skin is an absolute must for getting nice makeup application?!
The ever popular brand Oh K! has some adorable masks which have been inspired by Korean beauty. This Coconut Water Fibre Face Mask wakes up the skin and nourishes skin cells, leaving you with a beautiful glow, which isn’t from a highlighter or sweat! There are a varying prices around for these masks, I was lucky enough to snag these pretty cheap at TK Maxx… I think it was £5 for 3 and the pore strips were around £4 for 3.
Glam Glow’s Thirsty Mud (£42) all be it, not a sheet mask the coconut cream is a leave on mask. You can leave it on all night, although I just keep it on for 20 mins as the mess of the sheets with this brown face mask is something I’d rather avoid all together. This is one of the pricer skincare products I own and I’ve had so many uses and I haven’t even hit half way yet. If you want to treat yourself and have drier skin, I highly recommend this mud mask.
