My Spring makeup go to’s

Today is the first day of Spring, which I’d believe a bit more if there hadn’t been snow at the weekend. With the change in season I thought I’d dig through my makeup collection and pick out some shades which will help me get in the Spring mood.

Peach

This is one of my favourite shades, for makeup looks, but I’ve been gravitating for more purple and neutral looks in the winter. These pieces are now up front in my makeup collection so I’ll remember to use them and get experimenting.

Sweet Peach Palette  – Too Faced (£39)

Royal Peach Palette – Kylie Cosmetics ($45)

Dirty Peach – Kylie Cosmetics ($29)

Super shock shadows (Tea Party) – ColourPop ($5)

Pink

Hot pink shadows have been big, and I think they look great with a nude lip. I don’t wear shadows during the day, even if I did I wouldn’t be wearing this Super shock shadow (Don’t leave) ($5) from ColourPop at work, but I’ll be wearing glosses to get a pop of pink.

High pigment lip gloss (Park avenue) – Jouer Cosmetics (£15)

3D Hydra lipgloss (Pearly pink) – KIKO Milano (£7.90)

Yellow

This is the biggest trend at the moment, honestly yellow is something I avoid with a passion. But I do have a yellow shade in my Kylie Cosmetics’ Eye of the Storm palette ($40) and I’ve been some looks going round with yellow shadow which have inspired me to give a go. In my mind I’ve been going back and forward with the idea of adding a pop of yellow to a smokey eye in the inner corner or to create a spot light look. I might just try this out on a night in, anyone else practice makeup looks when they aren’t going out?

What makeup will you be rocking this Spring?- Be sure to comment to let me know!♥︎

  1. Yellow in the inner corner sounds like a great way to go! And I definitely practice my makeup when I’ve got no where to be (really, the only downside is that my practice makeup usually looks so much better than my daytime makeup, but no one ever gets the chance to see it in the flesh)!
