Hello! I know it’s been a while since the last post, it’s because when I get home from work lately all I’ve want to do is watch Netflix and sleep. That being said I do miss blogging and feel happier in myself when I do write so I’m hoping to better fit blogging into my routine.

When my makeup runs out I tend to go for something new so I can review it for you guys, the thing is just can’t seem to get a good foundation that works with my fussy skin. Sometimes you just want to know that you’re makeup is going to last all day and look fabulous, rather than like a sad clown. I remembered that I loved a Lancôme foundation I’d tried ages ago but couldn’t think of the name, hilariously I popped over to my own blog and checked out my previous review

Teinte Idole Ultra Wear (£31.50) has a thin consistency that blends out nicely to give a medium coverage, it is easy to build up and doesn’t cake, so if you want to go for full coverage it’s easily achievable. This is my favourite foundation to date as the finish is just perfect for my combination skin. My only downer with this product is that it smells a bit floral/ granny like when you first put it on, it fades quickly though as the foundation dries down to a matte finish.

My top tip- Get a sample from the beauty counter to see if you like the foundation before you buy it. Trying it in store is great, but you won’t be able to see it in natural light, sometimes the artificial light can be really deceiving.

Another Lancôme favourite I’ve headed back to is the Grandiôse mascara (£21.50) which has a unique bottle shape as the wand is curved, so the brush can easily be used at different angles coating the lashes well. It gives a long natural look to the lashes, making it my go to product for work atm.

Some people are put off by Lancôme, as it comes across as a brand for an older demographic, but some of their products can’t be ignored as the quality is really up there. I highly recommend the foundation, it’s long lasting (however, I wouldn’t go as far to say 24 hour long lasting) and it gives a beautiful finish.

What old favourites have you gone back to? Are you a fan of Lancôme?- Be sure to comment to let me know! ♥︎
