Is Glam Glow worth the money?

It’s no secret that I love a good face mask, but when it comes to skincare I tend go for cheaper options like Garnier, a brand I trust. I tend to spend more on makeup, although recently I’m skipping out my base makeup when I go to work, as the fluorescents make me shiny by lunch time and the lazy potato in me would rather sleep an extra ten minutes anyway. Since my skin is on show I’ve been more considerate with it lately and been trying new products… that aren’t from Garnier!

Glam Glow gets a lot of praise and when it comes to ThirstyMud (£42) from M&S, which has some great beauty brands FYI, the hydration treatment has done nothing but impress me. The packaging is fun and flirty, something I thought I’d never say about a mask! The metal tin itself is really substantial and luxe feeling, with a lot of product inside. When you look at the price you think hell no, but when you consider how many uses you’ll get and compare it to one off masks which are like £3 it’s not too bad.

Use it 4 ways:

  1. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and wipe off excess with tissue and massage the rest into the skin
  2. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and wash off with water
  3. Put on before going to sleep and wake up beautifully moisturised
  4. Wear it in-flight: apply before going up in the air and take off when you land

The formula is creamy and thick, but spreads out to a thinner consistency sitting comfortably on the skin. My skin is always thirsty, and this product works like an absolute dream. I prefer to use method 1 or 2, if you know me you’ll already know I won’t have tried option 4 out as I’m not a glamorous jet setter (but a girl can dream!).

It does smell very coconut-y which I wasn’t expecting considering it’s not really pointed out, perhaps I should read boxes more carefully in the future. The smells not overpowering and I haven’t had any adverse effects. It’s paraben free and suitable for all genders, ages and skin types. My boyfriends even trying it out tonight, as his skins feeling the winter weather!

I stepped out of my budget friendly skincare bubble with this product and it’s opened me up to trying more luxurious high-end products, which is great for my skin, but not my purse. If you’re in need of a hydration treatment and want to treat yourself I definitely recommend giving this a whirl.

  1. I love this post and I absolutely love this hydrating mask by Glamglow – I have been using this a lot during the winter months simply because my skin is dry due to the cold weather, heating is always on etc… works wonders and leaves me glowing 🙂

  2. I’ve always wanted to try GlamGlow, but I could never justify the splurge. But, you’re right, when you think of it compared to single use masks it’s not too too bad 🙂

    1. I totally agree with you, it is a lot! They do smaller pots of product which if you wanted to try out some of the masks you could without splurging too much ♥︎
