Hello again!

Barely Legal Kylie Cosmetics REVIEW- MAHALA

I haven’t reviewed any makeup here on my blog since March, instead concentrating on skincare products as cleaning and minimising my pores has been my prerogative. My pores aren’t a massive problem but the other month my boyfriend said my nose looked like a strawberry (apparently it was compliment) and I’ve been at war with my skin ever since. I have noticed a considerable improvement, so if you want a post on my current skincare routine let me know! Today I thought I’d share my thoughts on the Kylie Cosmetics blush; Barely Legal, a pinky peach shade.

Blush isn’t something I often incorporate into my makeup routine as I go quite red through my embarrassing antics anyway and really don’t need it. When I do use it I go for a £1 blush I picked up from Makeup Revolution over a year ago. Barely Legal was $20, so a much higher proved product to what I’m used to. Currently, there are five shades to choose from on the main site site and I’ve opted for the lightest shade as I’m quite pales, and that Nikkie Tutorials has been using it in her videos might have been influenced my choice.- Clearly I’m caving into advertising… again!

I like the matte packing with the glossy logo, and the drip pattern of the powder. The fact that it has a mirror is an added bonus for me because I’m guilty of not owning a large mirror to apply my makeup.

When it comes to the actual pigmentation of this matte pressed powder I wasn’t wowed. It’s quite faint, which is perfect for those who want a more natural flush of colour like myself but I was expecting more pigmentation. It can easily be built up, I use three layers of blush to get my desired look. The swatch I did picked up a lot of product on my finger but didn’t transfer well to the skin (just something to keep in mind). I think it’s a pretty colour for fair skin-tones and will be great for the warmer months when I need some colour to my very white face.

Overall this blush is fine for someone like me who doesn’t venture into the world of blush often and needs a more lighter and more natural pigmentation to play around with. Although for my more heavy coverage boys and girls, I think you would be disappointed in this product. Would I buy it again? No, there definitely are better blushes on the market… I’ve heard the Nars ones are great so I’ll be checking those out next.

What’s your favourite blush? What products should I review next? Or are you interested in my skincare routine?- Be sure to comment to let me know!

    1. Thanks so much! If it was like an eyeshadow with that sort of pigmentation I would have been really disappointed, but blush is meant to look faint on… I suppose! Thanks for reading ♥︎

    1. I have the KKW lipsticks and not the biggest fan, honestly I was put off by that. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews when it comes to the contour, I still want to try it though!
