I’ve been mega busy ATM with writing for my course, I’ve got to start my novel for my dissertation and this has taken up sooo much of my time. I’ve never written one before, so I’m staring at my laptop for six hours at a time trying to get some words down.
Anyway excuses out of the way!-Here’s my second post in my new series: Is it worth the hype?
I’d seen the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask (£9.99) from Elizavecca Milky Piggy all over YouTube awhile ago and when the lovely Liv (And Liv Loves) recommended I try it, I knew I had to! I actually picked this up from TK Maxx, my favourite shop for discounted makeup!
The container has a double lip system to prevent premature bubbling of the mask, although I did find after three uses it did start to get a bit bubbly in the container (as you can see in the picture on the right).
How do you use it?
After cleansing I applied a layer of the clay mask onto my dry face, using the tiny spatula provided. Within a few seconds I started to feel a tingling sensation, reminding me of the fizzing of Coca Cola. It’s a really weird sensation, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The mask bubbles on the skin, increasing in mass by about five times. It really tingles and at points it’s slightly unbearable! I wouldn’t normally wear my eyeliner and lipstick from the day when wearing a mask, but I’m trying to make a hideous picture of me wearing a mask the best it can be!! (Vain I know!)
5-10 minutes later with a tiny amount of water on my finger tips I massaged the product causing the bubbles to deflate. I then left it on for a further two minutes. Washing it off was a little difficult. I found using a bit of damp cotton wool was a total life saver!
This is a really fun mask which gives your skin a good clean out. I’ve used the product three times and still have over half the pot left, so this is definitely purse friendly when you compare it to one use masks. It’s definitely worth the hype!
Have you tried this mask? What should I review next?- Be sure to comment to let me know!
