The LA Girl Pro Conceal (HD. high-definition concealer) is a favourite product with a lot of beauty gurus, but is it really worth all the hype? I don’t know about you, but sometimes I question the performance of products which gurus praise, do you remember the NikkieTutorials x Too Faced palette which looked amazing in Nikkie’s video but in reality was chalky and lacking pigment. Scenarios like that remind me that there is an underbelly to the beauty world, with the root of it (like most things) being money.

So when it comes to glowing reviews from sponsored individuals, I listen but won’t always believe it. That’s why I love beauty bloggers, more often than not (like myself) they go out and buy a product as they love makeup and want to try it, rather than being given it to review.

LA Girl Pro Conceal- MAHALA

The LA Girl concealer (£5) has a large range of colours to choose from, so you can conceal as well as contour (which I want to try out!). I have the shade Porcelain , which is the second lightest shade, with the first being white. I’ve heard the white has a slight luminous quality and works well as a highlighter.

The product is quite thick, but blends out well with a brush or sponge. The coverage is really great, I find it covers blemishes really well and can be easily built up to hide redness (I like to hide my red cheeks!). It has a very “makeup” smell, which isn’t strong or unpleasant. The built in concealer brush, is quite stiff, but makes application (dots and lines, in my case) quite easy.

I find this concealer needs to be set with a bit of pressed powder as it goes a bit patchy LA Girl Pro Conceal- MAHALAafter a bit of wear and the setting helps it stay put to look more flawless.-Who doesn’t want to look flawless?!

Overall I’m pretty happy with this concealer, I do think it is worth the hype. Considering how affordable it is I definitely will be trying out some other shades.

Have you tried this concealer? What products do you think I should review next?- Be sure to comment to let me know!
