Hope you had a great weekend! Here’s another brush review, you’re probably thinking more? How many brushes does this girl need?

If you didn’t see my last post it was all about the Bh Cosmetics eye brush set which I love!

These really are the most beautiful brushes I’ve ever seen! I love Ted Baker packaging and I will admit to lusting over their products in store or on the web. I hinted to my mum for the Treasured Tools set for Christmas (and so had my sister!), and was super excited to try them out from the moment I opened them up.

The four brushes come in a beautiful hard pastel pink box with a floral interior. I love this pattern and it reminds me of the Majestic Marvels satin box (right), which I use to store my growing collection of palettes.Let’s just compare the two photos and see how far my photography for my blog has gone, the right picture is from when I first started blogging!

Ted Baker Brush Set- MAHALA

When it comes to the brushes, the handles feel really sturdy and smooth, the rose gold (fake of course!) detailing is really blindingly beautiful. However, the brush bristles feel really plasticky and synthetic. The brushes aren’t very densely packed compared to other brushes I own, and they collapse onto the face when I use them (if that makes sense?!). The foundation brush is horrible to use, it makes the foundation go on streaky and it was so horrible I used it for half my face and haven’t used it again. The main problem with these brushes is how flimsy they are, they just aren’t substantial for product application.

Ted Baker Brush Review- MAHALA

The eyeshadow brush and fluffy face brush are OK. The best brush is the dual ended eyebrow brush, I use it frequently and am pretty impressed with it.

These brushes are beautiful, but I’m a bit disappointed in the actual performance and quality of the brush fibres. In this case it shows looks aren’t everything!-Sadly!

What are your favourite makeup brushes? Have you been bummed out by some brushes too?- Be sure to comment to let me know!
