Wow! I can’t believe it’s nearly Christmas, this year has gone by incredibly quick. I want to wish you a lovely holiday, however you choose to spend it. Today I’m going to review a product from one of my favourite companies…
A couple years back I was really big into cream eyeliners, my favourite was Maybelline’s Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner which comes with a mini brush. Recently I’ve gone more for the liquid eyeliner.
I got the Kyliner in black from my boyfriend for my birthday and was so excited to try it out. I love the packaging and the how the eyeliner pot is glass. The products themselves are really creamy and pigmented. I did find that after using the cream/gel/pomade whatever you want to call it, for a few days I went back to my trusty liquid eyeliner as I just couldn’t get the nack of using it. I’m not used to a brush, and I’d only ever used smaller ones prior so I found it a bit difficult.
A couple days ago I went back to try it again. I can now see what I was doing wrong! I was dunking the brush into the cream more than I should have, putting way too much product onto the lid smearing it everywhere making me look a mess. You really only need to tap it lightly on the surface for full coverage. It gives a really nice opaque finish, which some products lack. I’m still not the best with the brush, but I’m getting there. I think I might pick up a smaller one to be more precise.
After 8 hours of wear I found the cream liner did transfer slightly onto my upper lid, it wasn’t devastatingly ruined just a slight grey tinge. It just needed to be smudged with my finger, so it wasn’t a big problem.
Overall I’m happy with the Kyliner kit, but I think it could be improved upon, with a better brush and a more stay put formula. If you like the company you’ll like this, but if you’re in the need of an eyeliner I’d opt for something else.
Have you got a favourite eyeliner? What do you think of the Kyliner?- Be sure to leave a comment to let me know!
