Let me first apologise, this has been the longest break from blogging I have ever had! I felt I needed it to concentrate on my two massive assignments for my masters. The pieces are now submitted and I have a huge break from university (a month and half?!), so I will be blogging A LOT more now. Oh and I’ll be making a start on my novel…
If you are a NikkieTutorials fan you will have heard of MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre. Not the prettiest of eyeshadow shades, lets be honest.-Not many of us want or can pull off nude eyeshadows! Like Nikkie, I’ve been using this cream eyeshadow as an eyeshadow primer. I haven’t used any actual eyeshadow primers before, as I’m still new in the eyeshadow game, so I can’t compare it to anything other than an application of shadow straight to the eye.
I use a generic eyeshadow brush to lightly apply a small amount (as a little goes a long way) all over the lid up to the brow bone. This gives a beautiful airbrushed look that lets the eyeshadow on top really pop. I found that my eyeshadow lasted well and didn’t make ridges or wrinkles, which I get with shadow as I have quite loose eye lids (if that makes sense?!).
I love the packaging, I’m a sucker for glass containers as it makes me feel like I have something a bit more luxe. The only sort of downside is that it has a synthetic smell, which isn’t overpowering, it’s just a bit nasty. Apart from that I love this product and will reach for it every-time I use eyeshadow.
Have you tried MAC’s Soft Ochre? Are there any YouTuber favourite products I should put to the test?- Be sure to comment to let me know!
