Hey everyone, what have you been up to this weekend? I thought I’d share with you another MAC lipstick review today, in a shade I’ve had for a while.
Sin is a dark matte plum shade, which gives a stylish vamp feel to a look. I’m a big fan of vampy lips and strong eye liner for a night look, as it can go with a casual outfit or go the other way for a glam vibe.
This shade is pigmented, but it definitely needs to be built up a bit as one swipe is definitely not enough. Applying this lipstick is a bit tricky as I find it’s a bit stiff on the lips although not so much when doing hand swatches. Comparing it nude lipsticks (which I have several) the coverage is a bit more patchy as it’s not very creamy. With these flaws being said, you need to play around with the lipstick a bit to get a good initial coverage. Unfortunately, after an hour it does look quite disastrous not looking very crisp and it does look very patchy.
The lipstick feels really comfortable on the lips and doesn’t cause them to dry. Although I definitely wouldn’t recommend this lipstick; I feel there will be better lipsticks in this shade out there, which will give way better coverage from a single swipe. I’m yet to try one as I’m on a student budget!
