Black lipstick! When I used to think of black lipstick I’d think emo, shades like this are now considered more fashion forward and stylish, rather than grunge. When I was looking for reviews last month for Kylie Cosmetics black liquid lipstick, Dead of Knight I was really inspired by the girls who didn’t wear makeup, but decided they wanted to jump into the world of makeup with this lipstick. So I thought I’d give it a go!

Dead of Knight- MAHALA

I believe this Lip Kit is no longer in production, but has not sold out (when this post published) so it has the older wands which are larger and fluffier. The formula is very thick, which is great as it gives a beautiful opaque finish. I was worried that it would be streaky like Kourt K, but I haven’t had any problems.

Dead of Knight- MAHALAYou really have to have a steady hand when applying this product, as fixing it is a bit more problematic as it is well, black! Definitely line your lips with the lip liner, which is so creamy.-I absolutely recommend the lip liners, they are incredible! The packaging does have the iconic drip design, although you can barely see it which shows how thick and pigmented the formula is.

Personally I would only wear this on a night out, which I have done a couple of times and found that it lasts alright, considering I am drinking sticky vodka filled drinks and I’m probably not drinking the most elegantly! I do add a little touch up in the middle of the night, but that’s mainly due to me being obsessed with crisp lips. Once again I’m a fan of another Lip Kit produced by Kylie, I really wish they were easier to get hold of here in the UK as I am always worried about postage etc. This time last year, before I got into makeup, I never thought I’d be so obsessed over a lipstick brand!
