When I was walking up and down the aisles of Superdrug looking for a black eyeshadow, the Makeup Revolution palettes caught my eye. Mainly as they are reasonably priced and there was an incredibly huge selection to choose from. There also didn’t seem to be any other high street brands selling eyeshadow palettes.
I’ve really been trying to take more makeup risks and learn new skills, so instead of buying one expensive colour I decided to opt for buying tonnes of cheaper shades as I’ve learnt blending of different colours is key.
Redemption Palette Iconic 2, is a golden smokey hue of shades. I chose this one out of the many available as it had a black shade and that is my all time favourite colour to wear, so why not try it with makeup? As well as the beautiful bronze shade, fourth from the left.
Redemption Palette Iconic 3, is a collection of girlie pinky hues with brown shades to make more of a subtle bend of colour.
I would recommend using special eyeshadow brushes as I have found the applicators which come with makeup are a bit substandard for application. You get a much better application and blend with brushes.
Both palettes retailed for £4 each!– A total bargain! The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is pretty good considering the price and the colours in each palette make beautiful combinations. As I walked out the shop I saw that single Max Factor eyeshadows retailed for the same price as one palette, which made me feel even more elated about my bargain buy; showing that experimenting with colour doesn’t always have to break the bank.
